Mandact — The Trust Layer of the Agent Economy

Swiss E-ID · swiyu · timeline

The trust infrastructure is coming — and with it the agent mandate as an electronic credential

The federal government is building an infrastructure on which authorities and private parties issue and verify their own digital credentials. For the agent economy this is the moment when "some account agreed" becomes a state-verified legal person has granted authority. Mandact issues mandates in the same formats and is preparing registration as issuer and verifier.

What this means for mandates today

An organisation issues a mandate in under three minutes: "My agent may cancel subscriptions up to CHF 50, for six months, revocable at any time." The relying party — shop, telco, insurer — verifies scope and live status in one call and receives the receipt that protects both sides in a dispute. The organisation's identity anchor today is the UID and commercial register; the state anchor for individuals arrives with the E-ID. Same engine, same codes, same receipt.
